Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer!
We rely on volunteers to help us serve the community and meet people at their point of need. Volunteers support our efforts in a variety of ways, including serving in our food pantry, thrift store, donation receiving area, boutique, and ongoing programs and events.
The first step to volunteering is to fill out our volunteer application using the link below. Please allow 1-2 business days to receive next steps from our Volunteer Coordinator.
Current Volunteer Openings
Volunteers assist in our daily operations in both behind-the-scenes and customer-facing roles. Read on to find your new favorite volunteer role!
Operation Hope
There is no doubt that the Christmas season can be a difficult time of the year for some families. It is our goal at CCPC to provide an opportunity where burdens can be lifted and hope can come alive for everyone in the community. Our Operation Hope program is designed to do just that by providing toys for every child in need in Summit County. For the past 17 years, CCPC has provided a toy store where parents can come and select, at no cost, gifts and toys for their children. It is a truly magical experience where we can meet people at their point of need and see the inexplicable joy of the parents and children served.
Food Pickups
If you are a morning person who can do a little heavy lifting in the name of feeding the hungry, please join our food pick-up team! Volunteers meet our staff at 7 am then join them in driving to local grocery stores to collect food donations, then unload them at the CCPC Pantry. The shift is usually finished by 10 am.
Email volunteer@ccofpc.org if interested in volunteering.
Food Pantry Volunteers
Pantry volunteers assist in unloading, sorting, and organizing food donations. Other activities include recycling, cleaning, and guest services. Shifts are 9:30 am – 12:30 pm and 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm, Monday–Saturday (times can be flexible).
Mobile Food Pantry
In an effort to meet people at their point of need, right where they live, and to spread awareness of our services, our pantry creates mobile food pantry events on an as-needed basis. Our mobile food pantry visits local apartment complexes and mobile home parks in Summit and Wasatch counties with deliveries of pantry staples and other grocery items, dependent on availability. Stay Tuned for 2025 dates and times.
Food Farmacy
In 2023, CCPC launched the Food Farmacy program with Summit Community Gardens and The People's Health Clinic to provide fresh produce to those facing food insecurity. Based on the belief that food is medicine, the clinic prescribes produce to patients who would benefit from it. The gardens supply the organic produce, which CCPC distributes. Any surplus is shared at our mobile food pantry, People's Health Clinic, and in our pantry. This year-round program relies on volunteers, especially during the off-season to help pack and deliver food.
Park City & Heber City Stores
Our Park City Boutique and Thrift stores and our Heber Valley Thrift are looking for a few good volunteers to help organize, sort, provide customer service, and keep the stores looking great! Shifts are available throughout the week and are limited to 2 hours.
