Zach is an NBCC National Certified Counselor and an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Zach received his BA in Education and Ministry from Whitworth University and his MA in Counseling from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. Zach’s work includes a variety of settings from working in elementary and high schools, youth and adult residential facilities to private practice. His experiences in individual therapy include a variety of areas of concern ranging from depression and anxiety to life change, addictions and recovery. He also has experience facilitating therapeutic and psychoeducation groups on a variety of topics.
Zach loves helping others address the burdens that mental illness imposes on their lives. He firmly believes that within each person is the capacity for change and considers it a privilege to walk alongside others while providing a safe space to experience healing. Through an integrated and holistic approach to therapy which acknowledges one’s thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and environment, he strives to help those he works with learn how to thrive, and in doing so, to experience more hope and healing in their lives.
