Dr. Steve Richardson has served for more than 27 years as a caregiver, counselor, and leader. Before becoming the Executive Director of the Christian Center of Park City in October 2024, he retired as an Active Duty Chaplain, Colonel from the US Air Force. While in the Air Force, Steve served as a Protestant chaplain; Air Force Institute of Technology student (Marriage and Family Therapy); Air Force Academy cadet chaplain; Division 1 Football Chaplain; Chaplain Corps College resource developer/instructor; subject matter expert (SME) for marriage, family and resiliency resources at the Air Force Chaplain Corps Resource Development Center; Deployed Deputy Command Chaplain; Deputy Center Chaplain overseeing deployments, inspections and a yearly budget exceeding $20M; and Wing Chaplain three times. He was deployed three times to the Middle East, including six months in Afghanistan. Under his leadership as Wing Chaplain, his teams won Chapel of the Year five of the six times they were eligible. His program MarriageCare was taught to 20,000 Military members with a 99.4% effectiveness rating.
He holds a master’s degree in pastoral leadership, a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, a doctorate in preaching and pastoral counseling, and has completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Steve also serves on the Board of Directors for Young Life Military.
