Help CCPC raise funds for our annual “Back 2 School Basics” program. Each August we take 500 low-income Park City students shopping at the Tanger Outlets for new school clothes, shoes, and supplies. All proceeds from the Online & Silent auctions will benefit the Back 2 School Basics program.

FAQ

 

  • Do I need to register to bid on the Online Auction?

 

      1. Yes, you will be emailed a link to the auction website (biddingowl.com) where you register as a bidder. It will ask for your NAME, EMAIL, PHONE, and ADDRESS. You will NOT need to provide a credit card until you win a bid and check out.

 

  • Are the same items offered in the online auction and the silent auction at NewPark?

 

      1. No, these are basically two different auctions with different items, so if you will not see the same items at the silent auction as you saw on the online auction.

 

  • How will I know if I won a bid?

 

      1. When the online auction closes (8 am, July 2) no more bids can be placed and the winner of each item will be notified by email or text (depending on what preference you selected when you registered) prompting you to “check out” and pay. You will then be asked to enter your payment information.

 

  • Is my bid/payment tax deductible if I win an item?

 

      1. This is a 2 part answer: Your payment is NOT tax-deductible if your winning bid was at or below the value of the item you purchased because “No goods or services were provided for contributions that are designated as tax deductible.” So, if your winning bid/payment was over the listed value of the item, the difference would be tax-deductible. Please note “The Christian Center of Park City will not value your gifts, please use your receipt to value gifts for your own tax purposes”.

 

  • How will I get the item I won?

 

    1. When the auction closes, we will be notified once you pay for the item you won. If you are out of town, or unable to pick up the item we are more than happy to mail it to you. Just send us an email or call us to let us know where it should be sent. Otherwise, just stop on by the Christian Center (1283 Deer Valley Dr) to pick it up in person!

 

 

 

SILENT AUCTION

  • Do I need to register to bid at the Silent Auction at NewPark?

 

      1. NO! Anyone can bid in person, just put your name & email and bid amount on the bid sheet that corresponds to the item you want. If you are the winner, we are able to process credit cards, checks, or cash (exact change appreciated) in person. Payment is due at the close of the auction that night.

 

  • Are the same items offered in the online auction and the silent auction at NewPark?

If you are unable to stay until the end of the auction, but won an item, we will follow up with you. If we are unable to track you down or do not receive payment within 3 days, we will contact the next highest bidder.
