Director of Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counselor
As the Counseling Director at CCPC, Scott’s desire is to bring professional and trauma-informed care to the residents of Summit County and beyond. He believes that each client who walks through the doors of CCPC has the power to influence the world, and he wants to empower them on their journey through providing the best mental health services possible.
Scott earned his master’s degree in counseling in 2016 from Colorado Christian University, where he graduated with honors and served as the chapter president of Chi Sigma Iota, the international and professional academic honor society for counseling students, counselor educators, and professional counselors. He obtained his associate licensure as a clinical mental health counselor in Utah in 2017 and full licensure in 2019.
Scott has experience working in outpatient mental health agencies where he has helped clients experiencing issues related to trauma, relationship problems, infidelity, adoption/foster-care, and life transitions. Along with his clinical work with clients, Scott is a Utah Approved Supervisor for clinicians working towards their full licensure.
Scott works with children, teens, adults, and couples. He utilizes several treatment modalities, including EMDR, CBT, REBT, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and others.
