Why focus on mental health for an entire month? Because millions of Americans face the reality of living with mental health issues. This month, follow our Facebook and Instagram (@christiancenterofparkcity) feeds to learn how we at CCPC and others in our community are fighting stigmas, educating the public, and providing support for individuals and families affected by mental illness.
Unfortunately, a significant number of Summit County residentsimpacted by mental health issues are severely limited in their search for treatment. Recognizing this vital need, CCPC invested in a comprehensive, onsite counseling center with 7 professionally trained mental health counselors currently, in order to meet the critical mental health needs
of our local population.
Thanks to generous funding from area resident Karen Marriott and Intermountain Park City Hospital, CCPC can provide counseling scholarships to those in financial need. CCPC has also collaborated with Karen and the Park City Community Foundationto hire a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse (APRN).
This APRN will be hosted at CCPC and provide unmet medication management services to this vulnerable population.
Mental health counseling is just one example of how CCPC is serving the community, seeking to meet people at their point of need regardless of race, gender, or religious affiliation.
