Local Outreach
As part of the Christian Center of Park City’s mission to meet people at their point of need, we have identified several critical areas and programs that meet specific needs in our local community. These initiatives are aimed at assisting those individuals and families in our communities who are in need and are often underserved. These programs are ever-changing and growing based on the needs of those in our community.
Back 2 School Basics
Back 2 School Basics serves our community by relieving some of the financial burdens of back to school shopping. For some families, the cost of clothing and school supplies exceeds what they can afford. At B2SB each participating child is allowed to spend $100 at participating Outlets Park City stores AND receives a new backpack and school supplies.
Operation Hope
Operation Hope is an annual program coordinated through the support and generosity of the Wasatch Back communities in Park City and the Heber Valley. The objective of this program is to alleviate the financial difficulties of many of the families in our community during the holidays. With 1 in 5 students in Summit County and 1 in 3 in Wasatch County meeting the free and reduced lunch criteria, the ever-growing communities are seeing an increased need to help families provide simple holiday cheer.
Easter Basket Outreach
Each year we celebrate the fun of giving Easter baskets to those in need and the joy they bring. We are always so thankful for the community that helps to provide the baskets. We see a lot of smiles in our food pantry as our customers select their Easter baskets, each one brimming with toys, dental items, Easter books, and other fun items generously donated and assembled with loving care by our donors and volunteers.
