EMDR is a method of psychotherapy that has been widely researched as an effective method of treatment for trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and disturbing memories. EMDR can also be effective in treating anxiety. EMDR is an integrative psychotherapeutic approach that assists an individual in processing memories and promotes emotional healing. Jody creates a safe, authentic, and compassionate space. Trauma can be one big traumatic event or a series of small incidents where basic needs of safety are not being met. Divorce or experiencing significant changes can initiate feelings of being lost or that life is spinning out of control.
