Food Pantry FAQs

How much does it cost to get food? Expand

There is no cost; food is distributed free of charge. Food is also distributed based on your family or group size.Ā  Food distribution varies day to day based on donated food. Often a family or group will be given a full shopping cart full of food.

Do I need to bring a bag or box to carry my free food home? Expand

Yes, we suggest when possible please bring bags, boxes or even a suitcase on wheels.Ā If you arrive by car, we have shopping carts that you may use to carry your food from the pantry to your car.

Free food sounds too good to be true. Are there strings attached? Expand

The food is free to whoever asks and needs food. When a person comes to our food pantry, the only questions we ask are where are you currently living and how many people are in your household, if applicable. That’s it — no strings attached.

How far is the Park City food pantry located from the nearest bus stop? Expand

There is a bus stop on Park Avenue just two blocks from Deer Valley Drive where you will have a short walk to 1283 Deer Valley Drive. There are also close bus stops on Empire Avenue, Bonanza Drive, and S.R. 224.

How can I refer someone to the food pantry? Expand

Just send them our way! You can find the hours and locations of our two local food pantries above.

CCPC's Mobile Food Pantry & Resource Fair

In an effort to meet people at their point of need, right where they live, and to spread awareness of our services, our pantry creates mobile food pantry events on an as-needed basis. Our mobile food pantry visits local apartment complexes and mobile home parks in Summit and Wasatch counties with deliveries of pantry staples and other grocery items, dependent on availability.

Locations are subject to change.Ā Follow us on FacebookĀ to stay up to date!

Our Coummunity Partners

The mobile pantry and resource fair partners encompass a diverse array of community organizations dedicated to addressing various needs within the community. This includes the Peoples Health Clinic, offering essential healthcare services to those in need, while Summit Community Gardens, under the EATs initiative, promotes food sustainability and combats food insecurity.

The Mountain Mediation Center facilitates conflict resolution and provides support during challenging times. The Hope Alliance provides sustainable support to under-served communities by providing vision and hope for all. Additionally, the Summit and Wasatch County Health Departments focus on public health initiatives and ensuring access to healthcare services. The involvement of the Summit County Sheriff’s Department reflects a commitment to community outreach beyond traditional law enforcement duties.

Together, these partners collaborate to provide comprehensive support and resources to the community. For those interested in joining this collaborative effort, inquiries for partnership can be directed to Jaime@ccofpc.org.

Food Donations & Volunteering at CCPC's Food Pantries

Donations of salad, packaged food, and fresh produce may be made to either of our pantries during normal business hours. Expired or pre-opened food will not be accepted. Most needed items include canned tuna or chicken, peanut butter, cereal, beans and rice, pasta and pasta sauce, diapers, and infant formula.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our food pantries are always looking for a few good volunteers with a heart to serve and hands that are willing to get a little dirty! Volunteers help unload, organize and sort incoming donations, greet customers and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pantry, and assist with recycling and composting efforts. Occasionally, we are in need of volunteers to assist staff with grocery pick-ups or special projects.

Please use the link below to fill out our volunteer application or email JaimeC@ccofpc.org with any questions.
