The Enneagram for Couples Part 2: Understanding the Three Enneagram Instincts

May 20, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Enneagram for Couples - Christian Center of Park City - Mary Wright

As a follow-up to Mary Wright’s February 2021 Enneagram for Couples event, CCPC is excited to dive deeper into how the Enneagram can help you enhance your relationship with your significant other.

The Enneagram describes three instincts that all humans depend upon for navigating life:

  • Self-Preservation – the need for material resources
  • One-to-One Bonding – the need for close connection to one special other
  • Social – the need to feel connected to groups

We all have and use all three instincts, but one tends to dominate and impacts our lives and relationships in profound ways.  Join us for a fascinating journey into these three instincts, learn which one you lead with and discover how understanding your own and your partner’s instincts can lead to greater compassion and connection.

*Basic understanding of the Enneagram is beneficial but not necessary.

Mary Wright, M.A.is a Certified Enneagram Teacher and Coach. The Enneagram, a system based on nine personality “types” is a powerful tool for self-awareness and personal growth. Combining psychology and spirituality, the Enneagram can help us quickly and accurately pinpoint obstacles within our personality that cause suffering in ourselves and in our relationships. Learning and applying the Enneagram helps individuals to better understand their motivations and reactions with astounding clarity.
