Inspiring Stories from Our Volunteers
Chloe and Jennifer: Volunteerism Runs in the Family
Chloe Aldous and her mom Jennifer have been faithful CCPC volunteers for many years. They started volunteering together through the National Charity League (NCL), where Chloe now holds a nationally recognized award for volunteering 250 hours in a calendar year, which is more than anyone in the nation through NCL.
Chloe and Jennifer started volunteering together about 12 years ago when Jennifer was her Girl Scout troop leader in kindergarten.
“We really enjoyed doing activities with Chloe's troop but kept coming back on our own to help out in the pantry, the boutique, addressing thank you letters, and organizing food drives. We especially enjoy volunteering with Operation Hope and Back 2 School Basics. We've seen CCPC grow so much over the years! It's been really gratifying for both of us to see how many people the Christian Center impacts.”

Jordan and Julisa: From Receiving Help to Giving Back
Julisa and her husband Jordan came to the United States seeking a new life with J-1 visas. Not long after settling in Park City, Jordan became seriously ill with a neurological condition. When looking for resources to help, they found CCPC. “This place became our lifeline, offering not just help, but hope,” says Julisa.
Jordan began volunteering as part of his therapy and received mental health support from the Counseling and Wellness Center. The support he received here was instrumental in his recovery. To help them get on their feet financially, they also started using the food pantry.
“The Christian Center didn't just offer us a new beginning; it offered us a sense of purpose. I'm so grateful I was also given the opportunity to join the Basic Needs Assistance team. Just last week, I helped a family find housing, and seeing their relief reminded me of our own journey. Every day, I see our story reflected in the faces of the people we help, which reminds me there is HOPE! The support we received gave us a feeling of belonging and has given us the strength to rebuild our lives here. We feel like we belong here, and for that reason, we are working on making our status more permanent to continue building our lives and future as part of this amazing community. We hope to give back to this community that has given us so much.”
