From Being Homeless to Finding a Job and a Home
Here is one of the many powerful stories that we wanted to share with you this week:
A homeless man came into CCPC this week, initially seeking food and clothing because he had been out of work and had also lost his housing situation. We found some clothes for him and helped get him some food. We gave him a food card to McDonald’s where he went and ended up applying for a job. He got that job and has his first 8 hr. shift tomorrow! Since last week he has met people who have offered him places to stay for a night and he has now connected with several men who are sharing a place together. He came in again today for some items for his shared bedroom. He has not requested financial assistance yet. He wants to try to do everything on his own. He would even like to volunteer at some point and help with landscaping if needed. Thanks to your ongoing and very generous support, this is one example of many, many people we have been able to serve and meet, right at their point of need.
Together, we are really making a difference!
