Brigette Elgie earned her B.A. in psychology at Smith College in Massachusetts and her M.A. in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University in Northern California with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy. She has been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California since 2006. She also holds a professional clinical counselor license in California and a Marriage and Family Therapy license in the states of Utah and New Hampshire.
During graduate school, Brigette co-developed and directed a group treatment program for child witnesses of domestic violence. She has worked in a variety of settings including inner-city schools, county and city programs.
