A leadership lesson from Jorge Fierro

Park City Leadership Academy is an after school program CCPC started last year. We learned that there was no after school leadership class for 6th graders, especially for low-income students. We felt compelled to offer a leadership class

to inspire kids to become leaders, creating an environment where these students could be inspired to both learn and apply leadership skills through hearing from and interacting with community, regional and state leaders.

Last week, we took this group to visit Frida’s restaurant and the headquarters of Rico Brands in order to meet Founder and CEO, Jorge Fierro. We were all inspired by his story, how he came to the US with nothing and has since built a multi-million dollar business with a heart to help others.
